We are now casting the male roles for the Tony award-winning musical by
Peter Stone and Sherman Edwards about the birth of America. Open call
auditions will be held on Thursday, November 27 at Emunah, 6 Arlozorov
Street, Jerusalem.
There is a recommended group warmup at 7 p.m. with auditions to follow.
If you can't make it then, be there before 9:30 p.m. as that is the final
sign in time.
Come and be a member of the Continental Congress! Don't just sign your John
Hancock, be John Hancock! We are looking for men who can sing and act. This
show combines a riveting historical drama with a musical score that is
lively, memorable, fantastic. There is a lot of choral writing, so if you
have choir experience, all the better!
Please prepare two 16 bar cuts of two contrasting songs, preferably musical
theater songs. If you can, bring sheet music in your proper key.
A headshot and resume will be greatly appreciated.
Should you be invited to a callback, you will be given material from the
show to learn. The results of the auditions will be posted on the Israel
Musicals web site at the conclusion of the audition process.
Rehearsals will be held in Jerusalem up to three times a week, depending on
the part and the proximity to opening night. We are looking at between 10
and 15 performances starting in early February and running through March.
Most performances will be in Jerusalem, with a few out-of-town dates.
There is a possible stipend for actors, to be determined.

You can submit an actor application on the web site so we can have you in
our records for future reference.
We look forward to meeting you at the audition.
Please forward this message to anyone you think would love being in a
musical. Thank you.
