Things are really hopping in the Shalom Lerner campaign:

1)The Gerrer Chassidim are working hard to get Shalom elected. Within a few
days there will be over 1,000 Shalom Lerner signs hanging from Chareidi
apartments throughout Bet Shemesh. In addition, they are setting up their
own election office to "get to work" on bringing out the vote.

2)The car caravan was a huge success and generated a lot of interest from
the vatikim of Bet Shemesh which was the goal of the event.

3)Today, over 100 volunteers hit the streets for the Shalom Lerner
campaign. Materials in Russian were distributed to Russian residents and a
lot of excitement is developing among the Russians surrounding Shalom.

4)The Ethiopian supporters of Shalom were in the campaign headquarters today
contacting Ethiopians and they are succeeding in bringing Shalom the
Ethiopian vote. There will be a kenes for Ethiopians with Shalom next week
and a kenes with French olim on Motzei Shabbat.

5)Shalom was out and about in the shopping areas today and the excitement
was very tangible. People from all walks of life came over to vocalize
their support for Shalom.

6)Shalom will be in RBS for Shabbat. He is davening at Carlebach tonight as
well as attending a Beis Tefilla oneg Shabbos with Rabbi Manilowitz in Sun
Gardens. He is davening at Mishkan Avraham U'Meir tomorrow where he will
also deliver the dvar Torah. Mincha and Seudat Shlishit is not yet
confirmed but will likely be at Aish Kodesh.

7)The Hebrew HaAretz ran a front page story today about the Bet Shemesh
elections and they conclude that it is a two person race between Shalom and
Abutbol which will go until the end. You can click on the link below to
read more:
8)The race is going down to the wire and we need your help. Please e-mail
us back if you can make a pledge to the campaign. Any amount will make a
difference but, of course, the more the better.

Thank you for all of your support and we have a hard week of work ahead.

Shabbat shalom.

Dov Lipman, Campaign Manager
