Discovering Martha: The Human Drama of the Kindertransport
Monday, April 13th, 2026 at 8pm.
Ahavat Tzion Hall - 2 Nachal Timna St, RBS A.
Her name was Martha. In 1939, as Nazi persecution intensified, Martha’s parents made the heartbreaking decision to send Martha and her sister away from Germany on the Kindertransport, hoping to save their lives. It was the last time Martha saw her parents.

Martha never had a chance to share her story, until a group of Yad Vashem guides came along, willing to listen, eager to learn. Join Albee Kava, Leon Duval, Tal Hartuv, and Lisa Revivi for an evening of remembrance as they share with us Martha’s story and the story of their acquaintance.

The State Opening Ceremony will be held at Yad Vashem on Monday, April 13th at 8pm. You can watch it online here: https://www.youtube.com/live/

Each year, during the official Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Day ceremony that takes place at Yad Vashem, six torches, representing the six million Jews, are lit by Holocaust survivors.
