New Record: 9,589 Infections Were Diagnosed Yesterday

The number of people infected with the Coronavirus from the outbreak of the pandemic has crossed the half-million mark, becoming the 29th country in the world where more than 500,000 people have been diagnosed with the virus. Yesterday (Mon), 9,589 new cases were confirmed, out of 129,000 tests performed bringing the infection rate to 7.6%.


1,759 corona patients are hospitalized in hospitals across the country, 1,027 of them in critical condition. 247 patients connected to respirators. Since the outbreak of the plague, 3,704 corona patients have died in Israel, 19 of them yesterday.


According to the Ministry of Health, so far 20.9% of the Israeli population has already received the first dose of the vaccine against the virus. Yesterday, according to the data, 21,611 people in Israel received the first dose of the vaccine. In total, 1,854,055 people received their first vaccine dose. In the past few days, the vaccination campaign has begun administering the second dose of the vaccine.
