Description

Last night (Sun), on a teleconference call, the official Coronavirus committee discussed the next steps that Israel must take in order to slow down and stop the spread of the Coronavirus.

Although the order has not yet been placed into effect, the rough draft ordered a "flexible" lock down that will last 7 days on 8 cities throughout Israel; Elad, Modiin-Ilit, Ashkelon, Beit Shemesh, Teverya, Beitar-Ilit, Or Yehuda, Migdal Haemek and 15 neighborhoods in Jerusalem.

The proposed sections of Beit Shemesh to go into lock down are the central and  southern districts. This will be specified when the official regulations and orders are announced.

The lock down expected to go into effect in the 8 cities listed will be less strict than the lock down on Bnei Brak. There will be stricter law enforcement and only residents will be permitted to enter the city. Pikud Haoref (Home Front Command) will enter the cities in order to help with logistics, supplying neccessaties to residents and geenral assistance.

The official order has not yet gone into effect, is it expected to be approved later this afternoon.
