IDF Allotted Housing for Personnel in Neve Shamir (RBS Hey)

This week, the district committee approved 153 housing units for military personnel and security forces in the new upscale Neve Shamir neighborhood in Beit Shemesh.

This initiative is a joint venture of the IDF, the Israel Police, the Ministry of Housing, the Israel Lands Authority and the Beit Shemesh Municipality.

The Beit Shemesh Municipality and the IDF see this as exciting news for both Beit Shemesh,  IDF, and the security forces.

Beit Shemesh Mayor Dr. Aliza Bloch said,  "This is big news for the City of Beit Shemesh, expressing confidence in the development of the city and another step in our ability to build a future for the younger generation here. The permanent housing project will be in the upscale neighborhood that is currently under construction, in the Neve Shamir neighborhood, where security forces and military personnel  will be able to purchase homes or luxury apartments in a new neighborhood where there will be a Country Club, quality schools, parks and more. I thank the IDF, the Ministry of Housing and the Israel Lands Authority for their successful cooperation. I invite the security forces to come and partner with us in the city."

Chief of Staff, Maj. Gen. Moti Almoz, said,  "Beit Shemesh is another important place where we will establish a residential project of this kind. The residential neighborhood, along with other collaborations between the IDF and the municipality of Beit Shemesh, will develop the city. "
