The Beit Shemesh Municipal Economic Development Company board members met last week to review the company's reports for 2020. The meeting was held at the company's offices and with the participation of the chairman of the board, Mayor Dr. Aliza Bloch, the company's supervisor, Rabbi Avraham Frenkel, CEO Adv. Ze'ev Lechowitzky and members of the board.

Adv. Lechowitzky, summarised the financial reports of the company for the meeting participants, which show that in the past year the company has expanded its scope of activity 7 times from the previous year. The figure is reflected in new projects, revenues, development, supervision and other sources of income. "This is an amazing and exciting statistic, especially when it comes to the Coronavirus, in which the world stopped running normally. We achieved these results thanks to the hard work of our quality team that does sacred work for the city of Beit Shemesh and I thank the mayor for her backing and trust in the company", Lechowitzky said.

The data from the report for 2020 show that in the last year, the Economic Development Company has carried out projects to an unprecedented amount of NIS 73 million, including the planning and development of industrial areas, construction of public institutions, installation of shelters, construction of solar roofs, operation of billboards and several sources of additional income. The cost of work on the above projects for 2020 stands at NIS 71 million and the gross profit of the company from this year stands at a total of NIS 1.9 million.

Additional data from the report: In the past year, 24 different projects moved from the planning stages and are currently holding in an advanced stage of finalization. These include classrooms, educational buildings, dormitories, public buildings, mikvahs and Shuls.

I am happy that in the last year it experienced tremendous growth of hundreds of percent in all parameters. We conclude a year of achievement and impressive performance. Economic and industrial development in Beit Shemesh means the realization of our vision and I am sure that in a year's time we will be sitting here and seeing that the company has grown and expanded even more. The money of the residents of Beit Shemesh remains at home and is invested directly into improving our city. "

At the end of the meeting, the financial statements were unanimously approved by the members of the Board of Directors.
