An invitation from mayor Shmuel Greenberg: Zikaron BaSalon – At Our Home
I am honored to invite you to a special memorial gathering as part of Zikaron BaSalon, which will take place this coming Thursday, 24th of April (26th of Nisan), at 6pm, at my home on 39 Nachal Kidron Street, Ramat Beit Shemesh Alef.
During the gathering, I will speak with my dear mother, Tova, who will share the story of her mother, my grandmother, the late Rachel Froehlich - a Holocaust survivor born in Düsseldorf, Germany, who endured unimaginable horrors, survived against all odds, and built a home in Israel filled with faith, Torah, hope, and new life.
Grandma Rachel’s story is a living reminder of the strength of spirit, devotion, and resilience - and it continues to inspire us to this day, for the third and fourth generations.
Zikaron BaSalon is a powerful and intimate way to connect generations and remember the stories etched in our hearts - not just as historical events, but as an essential part of our identity and our life here.
