IKEA Israel has Relaunched its Shipping & Delivery Website

Good news for IKEA enthusiasts!

IKEA Israel brought back the website of its shipping and delivey company, shefa-online.co.il. Yesterday (Tue), the site returned to activity after the company shut it down for half a year, following the spread of the Coronavirus. However, the site will operate in a partial format, accepting furniture orders only. When you enter the IKEA catalog through the online ordering site, you find that it does not have toys, flower pots, kitchen utensils, textiles, smart home products, lampshades or lamps available for purchase. All types of furniture, mirrors, carpets, faucets, sinks and mattresses however, are available for purchase on the site. The website states that "Only furniture products can be purchased online, without accessories and decorative departments."

Delivery from IKEA costs: a minimum of NIS 250 and 5% of the order value. Assembly cost: 12% of the cost of the complex products and a minimum of NIS 250. The site decided not to charge a service fee following the lockdown, which according to the company includes the "cost of collecting the products and packing them if necessary from the IKEA store" by the site's employees. This cost is 7% of the purchase value and at least NIS 90 per order." 

In April, at the height of the Corona crisis, the company canceled the possibility of placing orders through its delivery company website, apparently due to an overload of orders during the first lockdown period.
