Israel's Population on Yom Haatzmaut 2023

According to a Central Bureau of Statistics, on the eve of the country's 75th Independence Day, Israel's population is estimated at 9.727 million, reflecting a growth of 2.3% since last year. This is 12 times the size of the population at the time of the establishment of the state.

Here is the breakdown:

7,145 million - Jews (73.5%)

2.048 million - Arabs (21.0%)

534 million - Others (5.5%)

The population of Israel is a young population: Approximately 28% percent of Israel's population is under the age of 14, and about 12% are 65 or older.

Since last Independence Day, the population of Israel has increased by 216 thousand people (an increase of 2.3%). During this period, approximately 183 thousand babies were born, approximately 79 thousand immigrants arrived, and approximately 51 thousand people died.

At the founding of the State, the population of Israel numbered 806 thousand people. The percentage of Jews in Israel was 82.1% and the percentage of Arabs was 17.9%. Today the population of Israel is 12 times the population in 1948.

The forecast for the future:
