“Operation Northern Shield” Launched by the IDF

Today, Tuesday December 4th, the IDF launched “Operation Northern Shield” to expose and neutralize cross-border Hezbollah tunnels which have infiltrated into northern Israel.The military expects the operation to last several weeks but stressed that it depends on how the Hezbollah responds to the neutralization of their tunnels.A closed military area has been declared near the border, in Metula,: "The tunnels entered Israeli territory - but they are being dealt with and do not constitute an immediate threat"As of now there has not been any special instructions given by the Home Front Command.
