20 Charging Stations For Electric Cars to be Installed in Beit S...

Beit Shemesh to receive a grant of NIS 192,000 for the establishment of charging stations (AC) for electronic vehicles. The Ministry of Energy published the tender this past week.

The grant is for will include the first stage, installing 20 stations on sidewalks, municipal parking lots, etc. in various neighborhoods of the city.

The transportation department in Beit Shemesh: "The installation of the stations will begin once a company is chosen to take on this project and is expected to be completed by 2020. We are working towards it, and at the same time we are in contact with private entrepreneurs interested in installing additional charging stations throughout the city."

The grant was given was thanks to the joint work of the municipality's Transportation Commissioner, Shmuel Greenberg, the city's director general, Mira Mines, Uriel Chester, the city's public transportation director, and Tamar Bar Shai, head of the traffic section.
