No More Mask Wearing Outdoors & Capsules as of Next Week

Masks: This morning, Dr. Sharon Alroy-Pries, head of public health in the Health Ministry, said that starting next week, Israelis will not be required to wear face masks outdoors, unless during a public gathering. She did stress that mask-wearing is still required indoors.
Education: Last night (Monday night), the government approved in principle ( pending final government approval) the Health Ministry’s “Adjusted” Defending Education program, which will remove all capsules in all grades starting Sunday, April 18. The program will provide a wide range of testing and monitoring across the country’s educational system to detect coronavirus outbreaks. When a student tests positive, the entire class and teaching staff will be tested for coronavirus before returning to their classrooms, in addition to the obligatory quarantine.There will be no limit on teachers and aides moving between classrooms or schools.
The rules for higher education (college) remain the same at the moment. Transportation and Business Regulations: The government also agreed to extend existing transportation regulations until April 29 and the Purple Tag program for businesses until May 12. Additional Testing Complex: Additionally, the government voted to establish a testing complex outside the terminal.
