A New Year opening conference for the Beit Shemesh Municipality’s Social Services Department was held yesterday (Sunday) at the Pisgot HaSheva Community Center.
The event was attended by Mayor Shmuel Greenberg, City CEO Eliad Abramchik, and Deputy Mayor and head of the Social Services Department, Shlomo Brillant.
The conference included a presentation of the department’s work plan for the coming year, and words of appreciation for the staff. The meeting also focused on the department’s work over the past year and the main priorities for the year ahead.
Mayor Shmuel Greenberg thanked the staff for their dedication and spoke about the many challenges they faced over the past year.
“The Social Services Department faced some very difficult challenges this year, from the missile strike to the tragedies the city experienced recently. Throughout it all, the department was there for residents. Alongside the challenges, there were also achievements and progress, and I want to thank you for your dedication and for the many days and hours you put into this work,” Greenberg said.
Deputy Mayor and head of the Social Services Department, Shlomo Brillant, said: “The Social Services Department showed just how important it is to the residents of Beit Shemesh over the past year. Whether during the missile strike or the difficult events we experienced recently, our staff were there for residents. At the same time, every division within the department made significant progress. When an organization moves forward, it develops - and that is exactly what is happening in the Social Services Department today. There is movement, development and clear results.”
City CEO Eliad Abramchik said: “This year was filled with difficult events and tragedies, but it is important to remember that behind every desk and every phone call are people - our residents. You are the ones who meet them during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I want to thank you for the work you do for our residents and wish you a happy New Year.”
The conference marked the beginning of the Social Services Department’s work for the new year, with a focus on continuing to support residents while strengthening and developing the services provided throughout the city.
