Many people are eligible to get discounts on the city tax payments: Senior citizens, people on income support, people with disabilities, single parents, soldiers, students and new immigrants. New Olim are entitled to a 90% discount on Arnona (city tax) payments for 12 months.
People on low income are also eligible to get a discount - based on last year's income.

Eligible for a discount? Submit an application by 30th June 2026 and attach all certificates. If you apply before this date, you can request back-dated discounts, from the start of this year. Applications submitted after this date will be granted the discount from the date of the application/ completion onwards only (and not back-dated to the beginning of the year).

The most important task is to make sure that the Arnona account is in the name of the renter or home owner who will be requesting the discount.

General conditions:
~ The discount is given up to 100 square meters (unless otherwise specified)
~ Only one discount can be received - the higher one is given
~ Payment of all debts on the property
~ The discount is conditional on meeting the eligibility conditions and presenting appropriate documents.

📄 Submitting a request for a discount must include:
~ Discount request form 
~ ID card + Updated 'sefach' paper slip.
~ National Insurance certificates depending on the type of discount
