Bagrut Exam Policy Decided: Magen Grade Will Be Used

Anyone who chooses not to take the upcoming Bagrut exams will be able to receive their “Magen” (internal school grade) as their final grade.

The first exam of the season: History – this coming Monday, 30th June

The decision was made today, recognizing the distress many students are currently facing.

The exams will continue as planned, according to the schedule published last week.

The suggestion of holding exams in September has been cancelled!

Important Clarifications:

🔹 Moed Bet Bagrut exams will take place as per the attached schedule, and any student wishing to improve their Magen grade may take the exams.

🔹 The new outline does not apply to Moed Bet exams – meaning the Magen grade cannot replace the score you received in Moed Alef for Math, English, and Hebrew.

🔹 Reminder – you cannot improve the Magen grade submitted by the school to the Ministry of Education.

🔹 Driving Theory Tests (Te’orya): Students who were scheduled to take the test on June 17th can now take it on the new date – July 1st.

🔹 Technology track projects: No defense presentations will take place. Final project grades will be based on the annual score.

🔹 Final papers in Chinuch Haiyuni tracks: There will be no defense presentations.

  • For attached projects (which replace subject exams), the final grade will be based on the annual school-submitted grade.

  • For unattached projects, the final grade will be given by the project advisor.

🔹 Labs and projects in post-secondary education (grades 13–14): Project defense exams will be rescheduled in coordination with the examiner and must be completed by July 15th, 2025.

🔹 Moed Bet exams will be held externally only!

🗓️ July 10th – English Moed Bet
🗓️ July 14th – Math Moed Bet
🗓️ July 16th – Hebrew Moed Bet
