Beit Shemesh Municipality Demands Termination of Contract with Tnufa Bus Company
Following a two-year 'nightmare' of poor service for residents, the Beit Shemesh Municipality is taking decisive action.
After extensive efforts by Council Member and Transportation Commissioner Rabbi Avraham Frankel to address a flood of resident complaints, City Manager Ohad Segev has officially written to the Director General of the Ministry of Transportation demanding an end to the city's contract with the Tnufa company.
Transportation Commissioner Rabbi Avraham Frankel stated, "The daily suffering of our residents is unbearable. I have heard countless stories of people arriving late to school and work, some even losing their jobs, while others miss vital medical appointments and significant family events. After endless appeals to the company and numerous requests to the Ministry of Transportation, the CEO and I have decided to issue an unequivocal demand to terminate this contract. Beit Shemesh residents should not have to suffer; they deserve reliable, comfortable, and efficient public transportation."
