Beit Shemesh Municipality Update - Operation "Roaring Lion"
Saturday Night | March 14, 2026
🎓 Education Update: Following the latest update from the Home Front Command, the protection guidelines in the Beit Shemesh area remain unchanged. Therefore, schools in the city will remain closed at least until Monday (inclusive).
❌ Safety Warning: During Shabbat, a 12-year-old boy in Eilat was injured after being struck by a munition from a cluster missile that had scattered in the area. The incident once again highlights the danger posed by small unexploded munitions that may remain on the ground even after an event.
The public is urged to remain vigilant: do not touch any fragments or suspicious objects. Move away from the area, keep children and bystanders at a distance, and report immediately to the police by calling 100.
Following Home Front Command safety guidelines saves lives.
🚏 Public Transportation Update: The Ministry of Transportation reports that public transportation is still operating on a partial schedule of approximately 60% service. Passengers are advised to check updated schedules with the Ministry of Transportation or with the relevant bus operators.
