The Beit Shemesh Municipality is continuing its comprehensive work to clean, upgrade, and maintain public parks throughout the city. Led by the Public Realm Department (ShAFA) and the Playground Equipment Division, this effort is part of an ongoing operational plan to enhance public spaces and improve quality of life across all neighborhoods.
These efforts take on heightened importance during the summer break and the Bein HaZmanim holiday period, as thousands of local families spend extended time enjoying the city's parks and outdoor public spaces.
The scope of work includes deep cleaning, landscaping, infrastructure development, and routine maintenance surrounding park environments, all designed to ensure children and families enjoy cleaner, safer, and more pleasant surroundings.
Maintenance is being carried out systematically across various parks according to the Operations Administration's master plan, with special attention given to additional parks and areas requiring targeted care. The Operations Administration noted that these cleaning and beautification efforts will continue throughout the summer season across Beit Shemesh to maintain a high-quality public space for all residents.
Mayor Shmuel Greenberg and Deputy Mayor & Head of the Public Realm Department Hanoch Dranger emphasized the critical importance of maintaining a strong, visible presence of municipal crews in the parks to quickly respond to field needs as they arise.
