The Ministry of Construction and Housing held Today (Monday (27.07) the 11th lottery of the government’s “Discounted Apartment” program, with 7,922 housing units raffled across 19 cities throughout Israel, including Beit Shemesh.

A total of 114,848 eligible applicants registered for the lottery, submitting approximately 1.7 million applications in total. Eligible applicants were able to register for up to three cities and participate in all available lotteries in those locations.

The apartments included in the lottery are located in cities and communities across the country, including Rishon LeZion, Ashdod, Beit Shemesh, Rechovot, Chadera, Kfar Saba, Kiryat Gat, Nahariya, Eilat, Ma’ale Adumim, Yehud, Yokneam Illit, Kadima-Zoran, Kafr Manda, Mazkeret Batya, Rechasim, Beit Dagan, Bnei Ayish, and Beit Chefer.

For the first time, approximately 50% of the apartments in the lottery were reserved for active reservists, with about half of those designated for combat soldiers, in recognition of their service.

The lottery process was conducted through a computerized system, without human intervention, and under the supervision of a certified accountant to ensure a fair, transparent, and equal process.

Following the lottery, the Ministry of Construction and Housing will begin reviewing and verifying the results. After the process is completed, winners will be able to see their status in their personal government account, and notifications will be sent directly to all applicants.

Construction and Housing Minister Haim Katz said the lottery represents “good news for thousands of families and young couples,” and highlighted the special allocation for reservists.
