On a farm:
* Lots of farms around the country list their need for volunteers here: https://www.coing.co/nirtamim
* Uzzi needs help picking lemons on his farm near Lod. Picking goes on till it gets dark. he is ok with teens and tweens coming, but not small children. It's pretty muddy, so wear appropriate shoes and wear long sleeves because the trees have thorns. He has gardening gloves there, but a limited number, so if you have your own please bring them. The trees are small, you aren't climbing. There's a bathroom in the nearby building. Uzzi: 052-407-2221
* Volunteers are needed for all of the coming week to pick grapefruits at the Meller Farm in Kidron (near Gdera, about half an hour drive from Modiin and Bet Shemesh) The work is easy and suited to all ages, families with children welcome.
Starting early in the morning for as long as people are able to volunteer for. For more information contact Adi 050-934-0870
Please remember that the farmers really need help to harvest and pack their crops, and save their Parnassah, they are not set up as an entertainment activity for families. Please check in advance before bringing children. Most start work early in the morning, around 7am. Also, check the weather forecast before leaving home!
