On Tuesday, 27th November, 2024 elections for Municipalities will take place throughout Israel, including Beit Shemesh.
On this day residents will be voting for the Mayor and for their City Council representatives.

The Voting stations are open between 7am  and 10pm.

Election Day is a paid vacation day for people who live in cities that are having elections. Children are on vacation from school.

Every resident of Beit Shemesh from the age of 17-and-one-day will be eligible to vote in the upcoming Beit Shemesh elections.

People can only vote at the polling station where they are registered. Many people received an SMS message to their phones giving information about where they are registered to vote.

If you need further information where to vote check on this site: https://www.gov.il/apps/moin/bocharim/Please note that the voter registration lists were compiled on 15th September 2023 (before the elections were postponed twice due to the war). If you were not registered to vote then, you can't be added to the lists- this applies to new immigrants, people who have moved to the city and people who turned 17 after 31st October 2023.

Remember to take a photo ID with you: Teudat Zehut, Israeli Passport or Driving License.

There is a yellow slip marked ראשות העיר - This is for voting for the mayor.

There is a white slip marked מועצת העיר - This is for voting for the City Council.

The yellow slip goes in the yellow envelope, and the white slip goes in the white envelope.

The two sealed envelopes are put in the voting box that will be located on a table in front of the supervisors.

Only one person at a time can enter the voting booth.

Please Note: Your vote can be rendered invalid if more than one ballot paper is placed in an envelope, or if there is any mark or tear on your paper. Please check carefully to ensure that both the front and back of your ballots are free from any markings or rips. If you find any ballots that have been tampered with, please bring them to the attention of the supervisors.
