Yitzchak Navon School Gets a Renovated Sports Court and Safer Facilities

Students at Yitzchak Navon School in Beit Shemesh can now enjoy a renovated sports court, following the completion of improvement work by the Beit Shemesh Municipality in recent days. The project included renovations to the court, as well as infrastructure and safety improvements throughout the school grounds.

The work included resurfacing the sports court, painting and marking the playing areas, and addressing safety hazards. Additional infrastructure work was also carried out to improve safety around the school.

As part of the project, retaining walls were reinforced and repaired, the stairs leading to the school were replaced, and other safety hazards were addressed. The project therefore went beyond improving the appearance of the sports court and also included important repairs to the school's infrastructure.

The renovated court will be used by students during PE lessons and recess, providing them with an improved space for physical activity throughout the school day.

Beit Shemesh Mayor Shmuel Greenberg said: "We continue to invest in the city's educational infrastructure, from classrooms to schoolyards and sports courts. At Yitzchak Navon School, we combined the renovation of the court with infrastructure and safety improvements to provide students with a more pleasant and safer environment for learning and activities."

Deputy Mayor and Education Portfolio Holder Itzik Elmaliach added that improvements to educational institutions are carried out in response to needs identified on the ground. He said the work at Yitzchak Navon School addressed safety concerns throughout the grounds while also renovating the court for the benefit of the students.

The municipality noted that improving the learning environment in local schools includes investing in schoolyards, sports courts, and safety infrastructure, alongside improvements to school buildings and classrooms.
