Over 100 Abandoned Vehicles Cleared Across Beit Shemesh
The Beit Shemesh Municipality is continuing its operations to clear abandoned vehicles that pose hazards in public areas and take up valuable parking spots across the city. As part of this effort, municipal crews are actively locating vehicles left unused for extended periods and removing them in accordance with the law. To date, over 100 vehicles have been cleared from residential streets and industrial zones.
This initiative aims to eliminate public hazards, improve the city's appearance, and return parking spaces to residents. Municipal officials noted that removing these vehicles is part of ongoing routine efforts to maintain public space and address hazards throughout the city’s neighborhoods.
Mayor Shmuel Greenberg:
“Abandoned vehicles occupying parking spots for long periods hurt residents' quality of life and create a public nuisance. I have instructed municipal professionals to continue these operations and expand the treatment of hazards across the entire city.”
Head of the Operations Administration, Shmulik Rotsches:
“We are working systematically to locate and remove these vehicles to free up parking spaces and return public land to our residents. We call on the public to contact the Municipal Hotline at 106 to report any abandoned vehicles.”
