From the Israel Police Spokesman:
Overnight, Jerusalem District police raided the homes of three suspects involved in the violent disturbance and break-in at the Beit Shemesh police station about a week ago.
On Monday 1st June, an attempted break-in at the Beit Shemesh police station occurred, when rioters broke through one of the gates of the complex. During the incident, there was a riot that included vandalism, putting rocks on the highway, and setting several fires. Police forces, including Border Police soldiers, restrained the rioters and used force to disperse the crowd.
Following the incident, the Beit Shemesh police station opened an investigation, during which three main participants were identified and marked for arrest. Last night, detectives and enforcement officers from the Beit Shemesh police station raided the homes of the three suspects (aged 26, 46 and 56), and detained them for questioning.
Jerusalem District Commander, Chief Avshalom Peled said "We will not tolerate any harm to symbols of government and to police officers who work to protect the law and the public. We will not tolerate anarchy and we will not allow damage to police facilities."
