RECOMMENDED
When & where:
Because of the U.S. Vice President’s visit to Israel, significant traffic disruptions are planned in the Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Kiryat Gat areas.
Southbound Highway 1 will be closed heading toward Jerusalem.
The entrance to southbound Highway 6 at the Daniel Interchange is closed all the way to the Kiryat Gat interchange.
Westbound Highway 35 will be closed up to the entrance to the industrial zone.
Eastbound Highway 35 will be closed from the Azcur-Intel junction eastwards.
The northbound entrance to Highway 6 (Kiryat Gat → Daniel Interchange) will be closed. This affects traffic moving from Highway 1 westbound to Highway 20 northbound, up to HaShalom Interchange.
Closures on Kaplan Street, Azrieli Junction through HaShalom Interchange.
Highway 20 from HaShalom Interchange southbound to Highway 1 eastbound, up to Ginot Sakharov.
Plan alternate routes if you’re driving in or out of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem or Kiryat Gat tomorrow.
Leave earlier than usual, especially if you’ll be using Highway 1 or Highway 6.
Check live traffic updates (apps, local news) before you travel.
Avoid the affected interchanges (HaShalom, Azrieli, Kaplan) during the afternoon closures.
If you can postpone non-urgent travel, it may save time and avoid frustration.
