The price of fuel in Israel is 3rd highest in the world!
Israel continues to be at the top of the global fuel price rankings. According to data published on World of Statistics, based on Global Petrol Prices data, the price of gasoline in Israel is $2.31 per liter, placing it in third place in the world. Only Hong Kong and Iceland are ahead of Israel in the ranking. In Hong Kong, the price of a liter of gasoline reaches $3.71, and in Iceland it is $2.34. The global average, for comparison, is only $1.29 per liter.
Behind Israel in the ranking are particularly expensive European countries, including Denmark with $2.27 per liter, the Netherlands with $2.26, and Switzerland with $2.15. Germany, France, and Italy also have high prices, ranging from $1.9 to $2 per liter.
On the other hand, at the bottom of the list are oil-rich countries, where fuel prices are particularly low. In Libya, the price is $0.028 per liter, in Iran $0.029, and in Venezuela $0.035. Kuwait and Algeria also have prices of about $0.34 to $0.35 per liter, and Saudi Arabia has only $0.62.
The data shows that the gaps between countries are particularly sharp. While in Israel the price is significantly higher than the global average, in the United States the price is about $0.85 per liter, less than half the price in Israel!
Other notable countries in the ranking include Canada with $1.07, Japan with $1.02, China with $1.04, the United Kingdom with $1.84, France with $1.88, Germany with $1.93 and Ireland with $2.06 per liter.
The data refers to the price of 95 octane gasoline and is correct as of December 22, 2025, according to Global Petrol Prices.
