🚨 While Everyone Else Is on Vacation, Ezrat Achim Works Even Harder!
For most families, bein hazmanim means relaxing, family trips, and a welcome break.
But for hundreds of families in Beit Shemesh- especially those raising children with special needs or facing a sudden crisis ,the closing of regular school frameworks is challenging in the extreme.
While others take a vacation, Ezrat Achim’s staff and hundreds of volunteers work from dawn until dark:
🔹 250 Worlds, Fully Supported: Our massive summer camp serves 250 children across all functional levels, including wheelchair users and ventilator-dependent children. Each child is paired 1-on-1 with a dedicated volunteer who knows their exact medical, emotional, and dietary needs. We provide specialized door-to-door transport, tailored meal plans, and full medical supervision on-site.
The result? Pure joy for the kids, and a vital lifeline for parents to rest and focus on the rest of their family.
🔹 The Chesed Kitchen: Cooking Through Crisis: Our industrial kitchen hasn't slowed down for a single day. Beyond supporting families facing illness and financial hardship, we immediately stepped in this past week to deliver daily hot meals to two local shivah homes, supporting young orphans through tragic loss. We stay with every family until they are back on their feet.
🔹 Medical Equipment & Emergency Response: With bikes, scooters, hikes, and swimming peaking, summer brings a sharp spike in injuries. Our Medical Assistance Division operates on heightened alert-responding to urgent calls for falls, burns, and fractures, guiding families, and lending out life-saving equipment instantly.
As Founder of Ezrat Achim Rabbi Avraham Kop puts it: "As regular community frameworks scale back, our responsibility grows. We do our best to be there for every child, patient, and family who calls." Our volunteers are giving up their summer to hold this community together. Don't let them carry the burden alone!
