U.S. Embassy staff will be visiting Beit Shemesh on Thursday April 30th, 2026 from 10am-1:00pm.
Update 14th April 2026: Due to the war, it is still uncertain if embassy staff will be visiting Beit Shemesh at the end of the month or not. We hope to have an update to share at the end of the week/beginning of next week.
As far as appointments for their visit (if they come):
1) All appointment slots are full
2) The waiting list is full
3) If you did not get an email from the organizer, Ephraim, with info about getting an appointment slot, that means you are on the waiting list. He will only contact you if an appointment slot opens up.
3) If the embassy does come on the 30th, a separate email/post/message will be sent out with information regarding the adult passport renewal dropoff service.
***********
They will NOT be taking:
- Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) appointments
- New passport applications for newborns
- Social Security applications
They WILL have appointments for the following:
1) Child passport renewal (minors under 16)
2) First-time adult passport (over age 16)
3) Stolen/lost passport (for children and adults)
4) Adult passports that expired MORE than 5 years ago
That's it. For the above, you must have documented proof of U.S. citizenship.
🗳️ ADULT PASSPORT RENEWAL- DROPOFF SERVICE
If you are an adult with a valid passport and wish to renew it, you will NOT need an appointment! Dropoff service will be available. Drop it off during the hours the embassy staff is in Beit Shemesh. If you have a 10-year adult passport that needs to be renewed, you do NOT need to fill in tomorrow's registration link! You simply show up on April 30th during the hours they will be in Beit Shemesh and you can drop off your application.
Filling in the registration form does NOT guarantee you an appointment slot!!! I will ONLY contact those who have an appointment slot with further instructions about what they need to prepare and bring with them.
LOCAL RESIDENTS ONLY!
Everyone in Beit and Ramat Beit Shemesh is welcome to fill in and submit the registration form on Tuesday March 10th. If you receive an appointment, when you arrive you will be asked to show proof that you are a Beit/Ramat Beit Shemesh resident. If you are not, the embassy staff will not accept or process your application.
Another email will be sent on the 10th with the registration form link.
