Update on Ben Gurion Airport Departures under “Safe Return” Plan
As part of the ongoing “Safe Return” operation, Ben Gurion Airport has resumed limited outgoing international flights as of today. Here are the key details:
Only 50 passengers per flight are permitted, to reduce crowding and time spent at the airport.
Returning to Israel will not be allowed for at least 21 days after departure.
El Al flights are operating to: Larnaca, Athens, Rome, Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, and Bangkok.
Guidelines for Departing Passengers
Departures are only from Terminal 3.
Only passengers may enter the terminal (except caregivers and accompanying children).
Entry is only through Gate 02, lower level.
Security and check-in are on Level G, hand luggage inspection and passport control continue on Level 3.
Arrive 2 hours before departure—not earlier.
Public transport is recommended. If arriving by car, use “hug-and-go” drop-off—no waiting.
On-site Services
Cafés are open, but Duty Free shops remain closed.
Passengers returning via special flights can collect pre-purchased Duty Free items.
Travelers who parked before Operation "Im K’Lavi" began can retrieve their cars. Parking charges will only apply through June 13.
Train Service Changes
Due to Home Front Command directives and emergency conditions, Tel Aviv HaHagana station is closed. Netanya Sapir station is now open. Check Israel Railways for updates.
