Young people between the ages of 18 and 26 are entitled to a 33% discount when purchasing a monthly pass.
The discount applies until 31st December 2024.
Youth from the age of 18 to the age of 26 (inclusive) are entitled to a 33% discount when purchasing a monthly travel arrangement.
The discount is given on all public transport: bus, Israel Railways, the light rail, Metronit (Haifa), cable car and Carmelit.
The discount is only given when purchasing a monthly pass. The discount is not given when paying for a single trip or when purchasing accumulated value.
The discount arrangement for young people applies until 31st December 2024.
Who is eligible?
Young people from the age of 18 to the age of 26 inclusive. The discount will be given from the 18th birthday until the day before the 27th birthday.
Prices:
With the discount, a monthly pass for journeys of up to 225 km by bus and light rail throughout the country for only 150 NIS.
There are additional options for different distances.
How to set up the youth profile on Rav Kav:
Scan the Rav-Kav on the website or the phone app
Select the “Load Profile” option from the menu
Select the “Youth” profile
When uploading your profile, you must attach a photo of your ID card.
The discount will be given starting from the date the profile was approved.
Within a few minutes, you’re set up until you're 27!
How to get the discount:
The discount is given when purchasing a monthly pass only.
You can get the discount with:
A RavKav card loaded with the youth profile that qualifies for the discount (the discount will be given every time the card is loaded).
A spartphone application to pay for public transport loaded with the youth profile that qualifies for the discount.
Notes:
Released soldiers and those who have completed Sherut Leumi are exempt from paying for public transportation for a year from the date of completion of service. Students are also entitled to paid discounts for traveling by public transport. For more information, see discount for students traveling by public transportation .
It is recommended to check the various benefits and conditions of each of them, and choose the most profitable profile. Note: It is not possible to receive double discounts. A passenger who is entitled to an additional discount, for example a young person who is also a student, should choose one of the discounts and is not entitled to receive both at the same time.
