Online passport & ID renewals opens today!
From today you will be able to renew your passports and biometric identity cards online, without going to the Misrad Hapnim office!
The Population and Immigration Authority's new service lets an adult citizen over the age of 18 who has a biometric identification and whose fingerprints were stored in the biometric database apply remotely and receive an identification document valid for up to five years.
Important facts!
* Starting today, Tuesday 30th April, 2024, applications will be available remotely.
* The process will be possible for people aged 18 and over only.
* Issuance of a biometric passport in this track will be possible for those who were issued a previous biometric passport that expired within the last six months or are valid for a year ahead.
* Issuance of a passport in this track. Anyone who has submitted an application to the Bureau for previous biometric documentation, between the ages of 21-60.
* Anyone holding a biometric passport or ID card, who approved the storage of fingerprints in the database at the time of the previous issuance can submit an application remotely
* Submission of an application will be given only to those who are in Israel at the time of submitting the application
* The identity card or passport issued will be biometric and valid for a maximum of five years.
