As the new school year gets underway, Beit Shemesh Mayor Shmuel Greenberg and senior municipal officials toured new educational institutions in Ramat Beit Shemesh Gimmel and Hey. The tour included the dedication of new buildings and mezuzah ceremonies marking the institutions’ move into their new facilities.

Magen Avot Girls Kindergartens - Neve Shamir

As part of the tour, the new Magen Avot Girls Kindergartens building on Haguel Street in Ramat Beit Shemesh Neve Shamir was inaugurated.

Mayor Shmuel Greenberg visited the site together with Education Portfolio Holder Itzik Elmaliach, Economic Development Corporation Portfolio Holder Avraham Nachman Frankel, City CEO Eliad Abramchik, and Economic Development Corporation CEO Zeev Lachovitzky.

The entire complex is designed to accommodate 34 classrooms. At this stage, six new kindergarten classrooms have opened, providing additional educational capacity for residents of the rapidly developing neighborhood.

The new building is part of the city’s ongoing expansion of educational infrastructure, in response to projected population growth and the increasing need for additional educational facilities in developing neighborhoods.

Beit Yaakov Girls’ School - Ramat Beit Shemesh Gimmel

The tour continued at Beit Yaakov Girls School in Ramat Beit Shemesh Gimmel, which has moved into its new facility.

The visit was attended by the Mara D’Asra, Rabbi Chanokh Elbek; Education Portfolio Holder Itzik Elmaliach; Deputy Mayor and Community Centers Portfolio Holder Chanochh Dranger; City Council Members Kalman Heyman and Avi Arentroy; City CEO Eliad Abramchik; and school administrator Rabbi Yisrael Goldknopf.

A mezuzah dedication ceremony was held at the entrance to the new facility. The mezuzah was affixed by the Mara D’Asra, Rabbi Chanokh Elbek, in the presence of Mayor Shmuel Greenberg and Deputy Mayor Chanokh Dranger.

Ateres Shlomo Talmud Torah - Ramat Beit Shemesh Gimmel

Ateres Shlomo Talmud Torah in Ramat Beit Shemesh Gimmel also began the new school year in its new facility. Mayor Shmuel Greenberg visited the site together with the Mara D’Asra, Rabbi Chanoch Elbek.

Also participating in the tour were Education Portfolio Holder Itzik Elmaliach; Deputy Mayor Rabbi Yisrael Silverstein; City Council Members Kalman Heyman and Avi Arentroy; City CEO Eliad Abramchik; Education Department Director Yossi Goldring; Director of Charedi Education Menachem Bruchman; Director of Ateres Shlomo Institutions Rabbi Chaim Rimer; and Talmud Torah Director Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Yudelvitz.

During the visit, the Mara D’Asra, Rabbi Chanoch Elbek, affixed a mezuzah at the entrance to the Talmud Torah, while Mayor Shmuel Greenberg affixed a mezuzah in one of the classrooms, marking the opening of the new facility.

The tour of the new educational institutions took place as part of the city’s preparations for the new school year and amid the continued expansion of educational infrastructure throughout Beit Shemesh, in line with the growing needs of the city’s newer neighborhoods.
