Income Tax Credit Points for New Olim
🔍 What are credit points?
Credit points are received based on individual factors (such as being a parent, a soldier, studying in an institution of higher education, etc.). Credit points reduce the amount of income tax that would have been due.
💰 The value of one credit point in 2026 is 2,904 NIS per year (242 NIS per month).
✅ The benefit applies to all taxable income.
✈️🏠Credit points for Olim
New olim are entitled to credit points in the first years of following aliyah (in addition to the points based on other individual factors):
📆 Those who made aliyah from Jan 1, 2022 and onwards receive credit points for the first 4.5 years of aliyah.
📆 Those who made aliyah before Jan 1, 2022 receive credit points for the first 3.5 years of aliyah.
⏸️ In the following cases, you can request that the period not be counted towards the eligibility period for tax credit points: regular military service, national service (sherut le'umi), post-secondary studies, leaving the country for a period of 6 months to 3 years.
