Tour of Yad LaShiryon – Latrun
🗓️ We are in the midst of the seminal days of remembrance of the nation of Israel. This is the time to connect closely with the story of heroism and the price we have all paid. At Israel's official memorial site for fallen soldiers from the armored corps, Yad LaShiryon in Latrun, a moving and meaningful experience awaits you.
🎖️Yad LaShiryon in Latrun is a memorial site for the fallen soldiers of the Armored Corps.
💙Among tanks and armored vehicles that were part of the battles themselves, during a guided tour recounting the story of the Battles of Latrun – a significant chapter in the country’s history is related, revealing how much we have gone through to be here today.
✨ What is there to do there?
🔹 Stand before the Wall of Names commemorating the fallen of the Armored Corps
🔹 Tour among approximately 160 tanks and armored vehicles - the largest ACV (Armored combat vehicle) museum in the world!
🔹 Children (and adults) are allowed to climb on and explore many of the tanks and hear the stories of Israel's heroes.
🔹 Guided tour (approximately 1½ hours) including a stirring presentation projected on 9 screens
🌿 Visit to the nearby Alexandroni Brigade Memorial
🕗 Opening hours: 8:30am – 4pm. Fridays until 12pm.
🌍 Tours are available in English, Spanish, Russian and French
Note: There is very little shade, so take hats and water bottles. There is an indoor museum.
