The results are in for the Ministry of Education's survey of Junior High and High Schools for the last school year:
Five of the outstanding schools are in Beit Shemesh!
The Beit Shemesh schools are:
Shaalei Torah (National Religious)
Atid Shachar (National Religious)
Atid Dvir (National Religious)
Beit Yacov Bnot HaRama (Haredi)
Pninei Chen Girls Seminary (Haredi)
The Ministry of Education published their list of the 335 outstanding schools in the last academic year. The schools were judged in the field of values, social factors and academics using parameters including the recruitment rate for the IDF or National Service, preventing student dropouts, absorption of special education students, percentages of honors in the Bagrut exams and more.
The teaching staff at the winning schools will be rewarded with a monetary prize up to NIS 9,197, in relation to their place on the list and in accordance with the agreement reached between the Ministry of Education, the teachers' organization and the Ministry of Finance.
A total of 852 Junior High and High Schools from all over the country and from all sectors were included in the survey. National Religious (Mamad) schools represented 28% of the total, the Arab sector was 20%, and Charedi schools made up 3% of the total.
