Beit Shemesh Municipality Update - Wednesday March 4th, 2026. 10:44am.
Dear Residents,
Following a situation assessment meeting, please see the following important updates:
▪️ We reiterate the critical importance of strictly following Home Front Command guidelines. Residents must remain near a protected space and enter it immediately upon receiving an alert. Do not leave the protected space until an official all-clear is given. Home Front Command instructions save lives.
▪️ The Home Front Command has approved the placement of additional portable shelters throughout Beit Shemesh. Locations will be determined based on a needs assessment conducted in recent months, following residents’ requests and professional field evaluations.
Residents who believe that additional protection is needed in their area are invited to contact the municipal hotline at 106. All requests will be reviewed to determine appropriate placement.
▪️ The Department of Welfare and Social Services, together with the Community Department, continues to provide close support to families whose homes were damaged. Social workers and professional staff are present at the hotels where evacuated families are staying and are providing personal assistance.
